Strings Concert

Tonight is the fall strings concert. The event is taking place in the Chehalis Middle School commons at 7:00 p.m.

Aftershave Volleyball

The annual Aftershave volleyball game is back. However, there will not be a Powder Puff team due complications during last year's games. The volleyball game will be held in the gym on Nov. 7. A dance will follow the game from 9:00 p.m. until midnight.

NW Wind Symphony

The Northwest Wind Symphony will have a concert at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 8. Students who present a coupon can get in free with a paying adult. Coupons are available from Dan Judd. Adult tickets cost $5.

Veterans' Day Assembly

On Nov. 10, there will be an assembly after third period to honor veterans. The assembly will include the band and the Westsingers performing patriotic music, and a guest speaker.

Choral Concert

The Treble Choir, Westsingers, and Mixed Choir will be performing their fall concert. It will be held in the W.F. West gym on Nov. 13. It is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.

Conferences

You can run but you can't hide. Parent-teacher conferences have rolled around once again. They will be held the week of Nov. 17 through the 21. On the 17 and 19, conferences will be from 2:30 to 5:30. On the 18 and 20, conferences will be from 5:00 to 8:00. Each day of that week, school will be dismissed at 12:15.

Early Dismissal

There will be an hour early dismissal on the 26 before Thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving

Because of Thanksgiving, there will be no school on either the 27 or the 28.

WIBC

The Western International Band Clinic will be held Nov. 22-24 at the Sea-Tac Double Tree Inn. Six students from W.F. West were accepted into the program: Lesley Beckman, Peter Craig, Andy Judd, Monica Judd,Susan Mittge, and Jake Sparling.

Port Gardner Bay
Jazz Festival

The W.F. West Jazz Band 1 will be attending the Port Gardner Bay Jazz Festival on Nov. 15. The festival will provide a chance for the Jazz Band to see how they compare to some of the best bands in the state.

FBLA Fall Conference

The students who attended fall conference for FBLA on October 14 were Patrick Allison, Jenny Bell, Radmila Bolshis, Van Chau, Adam Cleaveland, Aramee Diethelm, Travis Frazier, Angela French, Jason Gardin, Brandy Mavel, Adam Hewitt, David Langehennig, Karen Muller, Chian Lee Nicholson, Mike Oechsner, Jesse Papineau, Amirah Parker, Katie Roewe, Michele Salsman, Bobbie Jo Sweet, Erin Taylor, and Caleb White. While there they attended different workshops to help them prepare for the business world.

DAR Good Citizen

Leonard Wilson was selected by the teachers and voted by the students of W. F. West to receive the DAR Good Citizen Award. This award is sponsored by the Daughters of the American Revolution and is awarded to a senior who has demonstrated good citizenship throughout their years in the district.
