Now that the students are back in class and new teachers hired, its about time you get to know the six new additions to W.F.West's staff.
Mr. Brumsickle
Mr. Brumsickle: This is his first year of teaching photography, he went to Centraila High School and attended the University of Washington. Mr. Brumsickle explains why he chose W.F.West. "It has a great reputation for quality education with an excellent student body." His favorite ice cream is Ben & Jerry's "Coffee, Coffee, Buzz, Buzz, Buzz."

Ms. Frazier Ms. Frazier: This is her first year of teaching in the math department, and she attended Saint Martins College in Lacey. Frazier said that she hopes to "get students involved in math while having fun." Her favorite ice cream is Mocha Almond Fudge.
Mr. Gray
Mr. Gray: Among the six, Gray is the most experienced teacher with six and a half years under his belt. He taught at Ford Middle School in Tacoma, WA. He chose W.F.West, "Because of the opportunity to teach P.E. at the high school level, to get away from the big city, and to establish myself as a good teacher/coach here at W.F.West." He is coaching football and wrestling, and his favorite ice cream is Pralines & Cream.
Mr. Mitu
Mr. Mitu: He has been teaching for two years. While originally from Romania, he has been living in the USA since 1983 and in Washington since 1987. He graduated from Saint Martin's College. Mitu's goals include, "making new friends and getting to know as many students as possible. To help the students in my classes gain more knowledge in mathematics, show them how they can use it in real life, and not to use any Tylenol." His favorite ice cream is Tin Roof Sunday.
Mr. Sande
Mr. Sande: This is his first year teaching in school, he was a youth pastor for the previous 17 years. He attend Bothell High,WA, and Warner Pacific College in Oregon. He said "This year he wants to make a difference in the school." He is the Freshmen Boys Basketball coach and is helping with Youth Alive Club. His favorite ice cream is licorice.
Ms. Wilson
Ms. Wilson: She has been teaching for one and a half years. She is from Chehalis and graduated from W.F.West in 1990. Wilson said that she choose W.F.West because "I wanted to find out what the view was from the other side of the teacher's desk." She hopes that the students realize that English is not just a course you take in school, but a way of life. Her favorite ice cream is Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough |
