Get a life, slacker!

dot.gif - 0.0 K I always see the same faces involved with more then one school function, and that's great. But one question: where are all the other W.F. West students?

dot.gif - 0.0 K There are few groups of people that can be found sitting in the bleachers, sporting school colors and painted hair all year long, while other people act like they don't even know we have after-school events. I am not saying give up your whole life to the school, but at least try to make a genuine effort to participate.

dot.gif - 0.0 K I am not sure what the rest of the students are doing after school. Maybe homework, maybe a job, who knows? My experiences have been that there really isn't all that much to do around here on week nights. So why not find some way to help out the school?

dot.gif - 0.0 K There are many ways you can help. Some dedicate hours of their time to organize dances, blood drives, sport events and group contests.

dot.gif - 0.0 K The ASB leaders seem to be very predictable because every year the same groups of people run for office. Why aren't there any new faces that even try for the position?

dot.gif - 0.0 K The school needs some fresh blood. It's not that ASB doesn't do a good job, but it could deŽnitely benefit from some diversity. With different social groups to represent all of the school, more ideas will be generated that can benefit everyone.

dot.gif - 0.0 K The lack of involvement at W. F. West is sad. So is the common reason for being a slacker. Ever heard this pathetic excuse: " I am non-social."? Fine, be that way, it's only hurting your school's image and condemning yours. If you don't get it together you could be a total social outcast because you never took the time to become involved.
