The DEADRISE 19 is the result of the careful blending of the best attributes of the deep "V" runabout and the whitewater jet sled. By combining the ride-softening bottom shape and practical interior layout of the modern runabout with the generous side flare and shallow running capabilities of the jet sled, we arrive at a design that is the best of both worlds.
To ensure passenger safety, the Deadrise 19 features a hull that has sufficient freeboard and reserve stability to prevent capsize in the event of a broach or other mishap. Like all my power and sail designs, it is fitted with 3 point flotation to keep it afloat and upright in the unlikely event that it is swamped.
Two distinct interior layouts are presented in the plans: the first is the "bowrider" runabout layout, as shown in the illustrations. This configuration features step-through access to the forward seating/storage area, as well as a hugh open cockpit for fishing or diving. Additional seating in the cockpit can be provided for a ski observer, etc., as required. The second configuration features a completely open cockpit with a center console that can be positioned fore or aft, as desired.
Plans $75 PPD. Epoxy & Fiberglass Supply Kit $924 PPD.
