Annulments or (Declaration of Nullity)

Anyone who has been married and divorced may seriously wish to have their marriage assessed by the Tribunal or Marriage Court of our Church. this process involves gathering the necessary documents, and with the help of an Advocate assists the person thru the long process. It determines the causes for the demise of the marriage. For many this has been a very healing process. Some cases are resolved faster than others. It generally takes about a year and not all cases are resolved.

This does not declare that the marriage never existed, nor the children are illegitimate, but that the marriage had some serious problems or flaws. Sometimes there are other reasons for this process. This process ends with a Declaration of Nullity document.

To begin this process contact either the priest, deacon, or Director of Religious Education, who will put you in contact with an Advocate, who will work very confidentially with the person to understand and work thru the process.
