Donation Challenge for the Lewis County Red Cross
The Twin Cities Rotary and Chamber of Commerce have sprung into action
to raise funds for the Lewis County Red Cross in the aftermath of the Friday,
July 11th Chehalis fire, which destroyed the Red Cross office and other
commercial buildings in the downtown district.
Immediately after the fire, the Twin Cities Rotary Club gave $1,000.00
to the Lewis County Red Cross. The Twin Cities Rotary is committed to supporting
the Red Cross and believes that our community cannot do without the services
and work of the Red Cross. For this reason, the Rotary club is putting
out a challenge all other service clubs and organizations in the community
to match its contribution to Lewis County Chapter of the American Red Cross.
Cash donations can be made at Sterling Savings Branches and the United
Way office.
Other fundraising efforts for the Red Cross include a Saturday, July,
19th car wash and Dunk Tank. The car wash will be offered from 10:00 a.m.
to 4:00 p.m. at Fuller’s Market in Centralia. Sponsored by the Twin Cities
Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce, all proceeds from the car wash
and the Dunk Tank will go to the Lewis County Red Cross. Come to the Centralia
Fuller’s Market this Saturday and get your car washed and join in the fun
to help support your local red cross.
