STUDIO INFORMATION
Instruments Taught:
Piano and Organ
Teaching Levels: Beginning to upper intermediate, all ages
Teaching Year: September to May (coinciding with the school year)
Summer Lessons: July to September
Mission Statement: My goal is to instill a love of music to my students, as I feel will benefit them in all areas of their lives.

Studio Focus:
I cover all areas of technique and theory from the first lesson. This gives them the building blocks for playing their music.

Lesson Cost & Studio Fees:
Contact me to get updated fees and costs.

Studio Policy: A complete studio policy is given before the first lesson which gives my expectations of the parents & students; also, vacation times and any other important information. My students are involved with all activities of the Music Teachers Association, of which I have been a member for 22 years.

Teaching Materials: I use many different methods (Bastien, Alfred, Fabor, Hanon) or a combination, which will be the best for each student, along with many supplemental books and sheet music, to go into specific types and areas of music.

Studio Instruments:
I teach on a Baldwin spinet piano, a Kawaii Grand piano, and a Wurlitzer Organ. I will teach organ in the student's home. This helps the organ students learn about the possibilities of their own organ.

Recitals:
Christmas - Sharing time in area rest homes
Christmas party sharing music & goodies
Yams in February
Auditions in March
Ribbon Festival in April
Spring Recital in May

Group Lessons:
These are given on the last week of the month, for one hour, taking place of the regular lesson to those that wish to participate. Included in the lesson are: sharing pieces; learning recital etiquette; studying a composer and their music for the year; various musical games; board work; keyboard work; and any other area we can incorporate into music theory. I try to keep this a fun learning experience.

TEACHER BIOGRAPHY
Teaching Experience:
Began in 1980
Musical Experience: I began my private piano lessons at the age of 9 and continued through high school. During this time I accompanied many groups, singing and orchestral. I have continued to play solos and accompanied groups through my years. In 1978 I decided to go back to college and obtain more education with the purpose of teaching. I have been pursuing this goal and my accreditation. I have continued my lessons to increase my knowledge and skills. At the present I play piano and organ at my church; accompany our choir and orchestra; play for a local funeral home; play for weddings; play for our music teachers concerts; and other various opportunities that arise.

My life has been made brighter, more fulfilling and enjoyable by my relationship to music. I would hope that each one of my students will have the same enjoyment.
