Fostering Global Emotional Wisdom

EFS International is a non-profit charitable organization (State of Washington, #7556) with the
mission of providing research, education, and network support services to embrace and instill
emotional intelligence---the fourth wave in human psychology and the key to 21st century human
progress. We are of the committed belief that individual happiness, social cohesion, cultural
evolution, and world peace can be accomplished though emotional education.
EFS International is based upon the vision of emotion as “the voice of the spirit” as well as the
cutting edge scientific notion that emotion is a self-regulatory moral sense. Our goal is to
develop educational materials and support services for diverse audiences, with a research branch
administered by our scientist and counseling psychologist, and a religious branch administered
by our staff minister. Drawn together by the startling similarities in their conclusions,
derived from virtually opposite ends of the experiential spectrum, our leaders
share a unique pantheistic faith in nature---and in emotion as the human being’s direct
connection with the creator’s divine guidance. Our unified approach sets asides traditional
dogmas, synthesizes the wisdom from natural and cultural sources, catalyzes profound insights,
and builds a powerful bridge between science and religion.
The mission of EFS International is to seek and share the understandings of the human emotional
system, and to “foster global emotional wisdom”. We serve as a resource network for
self-organizing groups and provide emotional education at little or no cost to all who wish to
attain it. Both the scientific or religious arms of our organization are driven by the passions
of our committed staff, the generous contributions of external benefactors, and by the
participation of volunteers whose lives have benefited. We welcome all who seek “the answers
that lie within.” And we will teach you exactly how to find them.
