About the program: The FPA provides emergency and other services
for low income people, including a food bank and soup kitchen, shelter and
transitional housing serving homeless families, women and children, housing
counseling for tenants facing eviction, homeowners facing mortgage default,
employment counseling for the unemployed. (And voice mail for phoneless jobless
people) welfare rights advocacy for those needing help getting public assistance
they are due, and in-home personal care. For chore help for elderly, ill and
disabled low-income people.
