What Is An "Energy Healer"?  An Energy Healer is one who is able to focus and direct healing energy to another person for their highest and best good at that time.

What Is An "Energy Body"?  The Human Energy Field contains several overlapping vibrational patterns that surround the physical body.  These higher frequency patterns or "energy bodies" are called the Etheric, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual bodies.  See "Energy Bodies".

What Is A Chakra?  A Chakra is an energy center on the body.  There are seven major chakras on the front and back of the body.  In addition, minor chakras are found at each joint (e.g., wrist, knee, shoulder, etc.) and in the center of the palms and soles of the feet.  See "Chakras".

What Is A "Healing"?  A Healing is a complete and permanent return to the original and natural energetic pattern of health on all levels of your being:  physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.  A Healing involves removal of inharmonious and damaging patterns from all levels of your Human energy Field.

Is Energy Healing Safe?  Yes.  Healing energies are easily passed through blankets and even casts, and are always completely safe.  The nature of the healing energy always causes cells and tissues to return to a state of greater health and correct function.  Healing energies cannot be overdosed.  The recipient's Higher Self is always in charge of accepting or rejecting healing energies.  If sufficient energy has been received during a healing session, the energy simply stops flowing through the healer.

What Is A Healing Session Like?  It depends on which healing technique is used.  However, most healing sessions at Evergreen Healing Arts Center begin by having the client rest comfortably on a healing table and just relax completely.  Very deep healing can occur when the client's body is relaxed and in the mind is in the alpha state.  Many healing techniques involve a gentle touch to connect and balance the energy centers in the body.  In other techniques, the therapist may manipulate only the higher energy bodies without the need for physical touch.  You and your energy therapist will agree in advance what specific techniques will be used, and how the session will proceed.  At the end of each healing session, you will be asked to sit on the edge of the table for a few moments and take a drink of water before leaving the healing room.  This helps to ground the client and allows sufficient time to become fully alert again.

Would I Have To Remove Any Clothes?   No.  You will be asked to remove only your shoes and any large jewelry or belt buckles.  Electronic appliances such as cell phones or pagers will also need to be removed.

Does An Energy Healer Have To Touch The Client's Body?  No.  However, many forms of energy healing such as Reiki and Healing Touch do have processes which involve physical touch.  In these cases, the client's prior permission is always requested.  Private parts of the body are always respected and never touched directly.  Inform your energy therapist if you prefer not to have your body touched.  Many techniques are also available that are completely energetic and do not involve direct physical touch.

Are Energy Healings Temporary Or Permanent?  They can be either.  Even in the most dramatic cases where a severe disease appears to have been completely cured, the "healing" may be only temporary unless the cause of the disease has also been completely removed.  The causative factors of most chronic diseases lie in the higher energy bodies, specifically the mental and emotional bodies.  Specific healing techniques such as hypnotherapy, regression therapy and Ro-Hun Transformational Therapy are available to address the mental and emotional energy bodies of the Human Energy Field.

Is Healing A Special Gift Or Can Anyone Become A Healer?  Anyone who wants to can become a healer.  There are actually three ways one can become a healer:

Be Born With The Gift Of Healing:  Some people are simply born healers.  Mietek Wirkus, the developer of the "Bioenergy" healing technique, is one such person.  Even at the young age of five, he was repeatedly able to instantly stop his sister's asthmatic attacks merely by placing his hand on her arm.  The story of "Mr. A," another contemporary born healer, is told by Ruth Montgomery in her book, "Born To Heal".  She documents many "miraculous" and instantaneous healings performed over many years.  Many born healers have a five-pointed star in the palm lines of their right hand.

Be Gifted Later In Life:  Sometimes a person receives healing abilities, or new psychic abilities such as clairvoyance or clairaudience, as a result of a traumatic injury to the head, or even after having been struck by lightning.  Others have been gifted with the ability to heal after a life-changing epiphany such as meeting an angel or becoming more enlightened.

Learn By Studying and Practicing:  Then there's the rest of us.  Anyone who is willing to study can learn the principles of healing and the Human Energy Field that are now becoming general knowledge and, with practice, develop the ability to feel energy fields with the hand and fingers.  With only these tools, your hands and the knowledge of how to use them to repattern energy fields for greater health, you can significantly accelerate the healing processes in yourself and in others.  The recovery process might not be as immediate and as splashy as the miraculous instantaneous healings of a born healer; yet energetic healing of serious chronic diseases and effective pain control are within the capabilities of all of us.  We only need to be taught what to do and how to do it.  Energy-based healing techniques are easy to learn and very, very effective.

Can Energy-Based Healing Techniques Cure Diseases?  In some cases, yes.  Manipulation of the client's Human Energy Field is very effective in repatterning all energetic levels of the aura for greater overall health.  The ability to direct healing energies in a controlled and predictable way to each energy body allows the trained energy therapist to successfully address a wide range of infectious and chronic diseases, and to provide a very effective pain management program.

What Is The Source Of The Energy Used In Healing?  The energy healer accelerates the healing process by providing additional healing energies to the client.  These healing energies can come from only two places: either from the Human Energy Field of the healer, or from the Universal Energy Field that permeates the universe and that is all around us.  The energy healer needs to learn how to maintain his own Human Energy Field at a strong and high level so that he does not become depleted and tired after a healing session.  There are easy-to-learn techniques to do this.

Alternatively, for some forms of healing such as Reiki, the healer's upper chakras (crown, brow, throat and heart) and palms of the hands are energetically opened during an attunement.  This allows additional healing energies to be taken directly from the Universal Energy Field into the healer's crown chakra and transmitted down through his upper chakras and out his arms and  hands to the client.  The advantage of this approach is that the healer is not using his own energy field as the source of healing energies and, therefore, does not become depleted of energy.  In fact, during a healing session for another person, the Reiki healer also receives a healing since the energies must first pass through his own body before being transmitted to the client.
