The first Earh Day event was held in 1970 and drew an aduance of 20 million Americans. These people got together all over the United States to peacefuly demonstrate their conserns about our envirolment. Since then there is an almost unlimited number of orgizations not only in the U.S. but all over the world devoting their time to restoring the earth and making this world a better place to live.
